No Civil Reforms

"The Savior attempted no civil reforms, attacked no national abuses, condemned no national enemies. Nor did He interfere with the authority or administration of those in power.  He was not indifferent to the woes of men, but He knew that the remedy lay not merely in human and external measures.  To be effective, the cure had to reach men individually and regenerate the heart (see The Desire of Ages, p 509, Ellen G White).  This He strove incessantly to do."

Faith and Feelings

Faith and feelings should not be confused.  Faith is ours to exercise in the Word of God, regardless of our feelings, and often in opposition to our feelings.

Many fail to accept the pardon and assurance of the acceptance of Heaven, because they do not take God at His word, but instead turn their attention to changing moods and feelings.

Faith always precedes the joyful feelings which naturally result from the assurance of forgiveness and acceptance. The order is never reversed.

Prayer for America

Dear Lord
in this time of our deep need, help us again as You did in years gone by.
And in Your anger, remember your mercy.
