How wonderful that when we come to Jesus, just as we are, sorry for our sins, asking in faith for forgiveness, He will "abundantly pardon.". Isaiah 55:7. Yes, Jesus "is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.". 1 John 1:9.
Here is your comfort, your assurance, your surety. You come to Jesus just as you are, you ask forgiveness, then believe you are forgiven. You may accept it as a fact, for He has promised. It's done - you are forgiven.
"For thou, Lord, are good and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy to all them that call on You.".
