You shall Not Murder
They cherished the most bitter hatred against other peoples, and even hated their own countrymen who did not conform to their ideas. In all this they were violating the law, "you shall not murder."
The spirit of hatred and revenge originated with Satan. Whoever cherishes malice or unkindness is cherishing the same spirit, and it's fruit is death!
God has shown how high a value He places upon every person, and He gives no liberty to speak contempt of another. We shall see faults and weaknesses in those about us, but God claims every person as His own. Even the most degraded are to be treated with respect and tenderness.
God will hold us accountable for even one word spoken in contempt of one person for whom Christ has died.

Worldly Customs Convert the Church
Conformity to worldly customs converts the church to the world; it never converts the world to Christ.
Familiarity with sin will inevitably cause sin to appear less repulsive,
(Those) who choose to associate with the servants of Satan will soon cease to fear Satan.
When in the way of duty we are brought into trial...we may be sure that God will protect us, but if we place ourselves under temptation we will fall sooner or later.
